Shanghai har inte riktigt dom där turistmålen som Beijing har, kinesiska muren, himmelska fridens torg men ett helt klart turist och även för dom västerlänningar som bor och jobbar är Tailor market i Shanghai lite som vad Phuket är för skandinaver och tyskar.
Här finns massor av butikshål med olika “specialiserade” skräddare, bröllopsklänningar, kostymer, hemtextiler och måttsydda skor m.m..
Vad är ett turisthål utan säljare som försöker få dig in i just sin butik: ” Suit for you my friend” osv.
Normalt gillar jag handla märk men ville prova. Så jag letade upp bild på en kostym med schysst snitt hos ett svenskt välkänt herrkonfektions brand (hovleverantör dessutom, fint ska det va!) och begav mig till marknaden och visitkortet till rekommenderad skräddare.
Väl där så mätte skräddaren, jag visade bilden, valde ut tyg. Beställde också ett gäng skjortor av olika snitt och tyger.
Lite handpenning, klart om en vecka.
Nu är det inte första gången jag gör en affär med en kines, så jag är förberedd på att resultatet kan bli långt ifrån vad kostymen på den där bilden som jag gav och refererade till att kungen eller prinsen har den där.
En vecka senare:
Kostym Slimcut? Check: Nej.
Byxor: Så stora att jag skulle kunna få ner 3 ben i ett.
Ärmarna alldeles för breda och skjortorna för långa.
Det krävdes 3 återbesök innan jag tyckte det var ok och pröjsade. Fortfarande inte helnöjd, tycker axlarna är lite för stora.
Jag tror iof att Oscar Jacobson (oops) eller Armani när dom designar en kollektion med sina personliga skräddare som dom jobbat med 20-30 år går skickar tillbaka första, andra, och tredje gången innan dom blir nöjda. Så jag är övertygad att mina 80-tals axlar inte helt beror på en inkompetent, slarvig kinesisk skräddare – utan att beställa något så måste man veta vad man ville ha. Kotyr – eller stängsel, Kina eller Italien.
Kostymen kostade 500 kr, skjortorna 100 kr st. Gjorde också ett par byxor i linne och matchande skjortor för varma sommar dagar. Trots många turer (som bara gör det ännu mer intressant för man lär sig mer kulturen) så ska jag absolut beställa fler grejer, roligt med något man gjort “själv”.
PS. Det krävs som sagt återbesök, så som turist borde man räkna in det, går iof få sakerna fortare, och fixa till grejer kan dom göra på ett par timmar om man ber dem.
